Join a bus tour from the QEII Centre to visit three self storage sites in and around London between 3.00pm and 6.00pm.  Refreshments included.  Facility Tour tickets are included in full conference packages or cost just £15.00 + VAT per head.

Big Yellow Fulham
Opened in 2008 after being converted from an electricity power turbine hall. The construction project involved demolition of everything except the external walls, with the rest of the store being built around a new core and floor system. This was a 2 year construction project which including land acquisition cost around £20m. The Store has an MLA of 138,000 square feet spread over 8 floor and 2,350 units. It also has one of the few wine storage centres in UK self storage with 8,600 sq ft (560 rooms) in the basement.

 

Safestore Battersea
A former Hamptons & Sons Depository built alongside their factory in the early 1900's. It produced furnishings for many historic buildings and theatres along with the Royal Yacht Britannia. The Storage Centre now consists of 1929 unites over 100,000 square feet and 6 levels up, some ground floor units are being used as drive up workshops and places for business. Safestore also has a business centre on site with 98 offices. 

 

Shurgard Putney
This store opened in 2002 on a land footprint of 37,000 square feet located just off the South Circular. Using some creative building use, the store has a net lettable space of 48,000 square feet and 772 units. The store is spread across 4 buildings, 3 of which are single level with a number of drive up units, while the other building has 4 floors of storage. The exterior of the building has been designed to reflect the architecture of the local area.
