Castle Visit
We will journey to the quaint, traditional market town of Loule to visit Loule Castle. The castle formed the northwest corner of the medieval city walls of the town. Along with many of the Algarve's other castles, Loulé's dates back to the Reconquest from the Moors in 1249. What remains of the original castle are the gate tower and three further towers along with the walls that connect them. The castle suffered extensive damage during the 1755 great earthquake and was again damaged by a much lesser earthquake in 1969. Although there is no access to the towers, given its strategic position you won't be disappointed by the great views from the castle's ramparts.

Wine Tasting Experience
In the small village of Tôr lies Quinta da Tôr Vineyard and Winery, the location for our Wine Tasting Experience. The micro-climate, low temperatures in winter and high temperatures in summer allow a good and balanced maturation of the 7 grape varieties on offer (Touriga Nacional, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Aragonês, Siria, Arinto and Chardonnay). The vineyard offers a unique sensory experience with wines of a high alcohol content, between 16 and 17 degrees of alcohol percentage. Enjoy a guided visit and tasting of 3 wines: superior red, white and rose, bread, olive oil and olives.

This experience is included in the full 2 day ticket price, but not daily tickets. Additional tickets are £60 early bird and £70 after 16 July, including 23% Portuguese VAT
