Designed to support individuals or businesses who are researching future involvement in the industry, potential investors, new entrants to the sector, a site in the early stages of planning, existing self storage businesses who do not currently meet the SSA UK industry standard, or who do not offer traditional self storage as defined by the SSA UK, and those with a general interest in the industry.

Annual UK & European Industry Reports
For 15 years the SSA UK has been surveying its members and producing an annual industry report. Likewise, FEDESSA has been surveying its European members for 11 years. These reports are the most comprehensive studies into self storage across the UK and Europe, covering all viewpoints of the industry, and collecting data from operators, customers, and the general public. Subscribers have access to both reports.
UNLOCKED Quarterly Magazine
UNLOCKED is the only dedicated self storage magazine circulated regularly throughout the UK and Europe. It is directly mailed to over 2,100 self storage owners, operators, individual stores, suppliers, investors, and other interested parties. Each quarterly issue includes both UK (SSA) and European (FEDESSA) news, articles, updates, and matters of general interest, helping to keep SSA UK subscribers, full members, and suppliers informed of what is happening across the industry. Research has shown the magazine is popular with both new and existing self storage businesses and is read and retained as a useful source of information and reference. Events
Subscribers also receive discounted rates to attend our regular Regional Members’ Networking Dinners, the Annual UK Industry Report Launch event (where held as a standalone event), AGMs, the UK annual self storage conference, and the annual FEDESSA Conference & Trade Show. The networking opportunities at these events is incredible. More information and how to book to attend these events at you special rate will be emailed to you. Getting off the Ground Kit
If you are planning a site or are in the early stages of setting up your self storage store/site and need help and support, our 'Getting off the Ground Kit’ is an invaluable resource. It contains a copy of the membership standard, a range of QuickGuides covering topics specifically for new entrants and operators in the early stages, and a range of pre-recorded webinars on topics such as site security, business rates, and fire protection.
